Comment
Language comment
Hercus (1962:7) says Yitayita (D7) is 'the same' as Thati-thati S28 and that both are totally different from the surrounding languages. Following a reference to 'Victorian languages: a late survey' (Hercus 1986), Oates and Oates (1970:142) say that Dadidadi S28 'belongs to the Jitajita (D7) language'. This is presumably an interpretation of 'the same' in Hercus (1962), though Hercus (1986:101) writes of 'two languages', Yidayida (D7) and Dadidadi S28, and does not specify the relationship between them.
