The only data available on Yiman seems to be a word list by Meston (held in the State Library of Queensland).

Tindale (1974:171) provides its location but no other information.

Breen questions the classification of Yiman as a Maric language and calls it a Waka-Waka E28 dialect or group of dialects (2009:222-3).
