According to Glasgow (nd), Walar appears to be the same as Wula K43, Wuladja, and Wuladjangari K24. Capell and Coate (1984:2) explain that 'the terms Walar and Manunggu K46 refer to sections only of the Forrest River tribes and are not primarily linguistic terms even though they do seem to correspond with dialect variations within the north-eastern section'.
