The Yolngu Matha Dictionary describes ganhalpuyngu (N83) as a clan-nation.
Waters says that Ganalbingu (N83) is a Yolngu clan affiliated with Djinba N97 language; he includes some Ganalpingu (N83) words in the Djinang-Djinba comparative dictionary in his 1989 grammar (1989:249, 291-352).
For Yolngu language groups see Yolngu Matha N230.
