Comments:
The location of Latji Latji and Jari Jari S24 on the maps in Clark (1996) and Blake and Reid (1998) are reversed. More recent publications (e.g. Clark 2009) position Latji Latji to the east of Jari Jari. The location in AUSTLANG is based on these recent sources. Clark and Ryan (2009:81) give a detailed list of locations for Ladjiladji (S23) as cited in historical sources.

Location information:
Clark (2005:15) reports that Tindale (1974) got the location of Jari Jari and Latji Latji wrong. Tindale's Jari Jari: Western bank of Murray River from above Chalka Creek to Annuello; south to Lake Korong (Hopetoun) and Pine Plains; northwest to near Redcliffs. the Youngera pastoral run, Bumbang Island (Robinvale), Kulkyne, Yallamjip and Lake Tyrell. The western boundary with Yarijari is unclear, though Chalka Creek, which feeds the Mournpool lakes from the Murray River, is a likely boundary. Although the Ladjiladji eastern boundary is uncertain, we do know that Dadidadi was spoken at Narcooyia Creek, south-east of Robinvale, so this may be an eastern boundary marker of Ladjiladji. Howitt provides the most detailed southern boundary...from Lake Tyrell west to Yallamjip. (Clark & Ryan 2009:87)
