Previously this database assigned the code (Y67) to Biyalgeyi language. However, Biyalgeyi has never been used as a language name, nor is there any linguistic evidence of its language status. The word 'Biyalgeyi' is derived from Aba Yalgaya, a clan affiliated with Flinders Island language (Sutton 1993:33). The name associated with (Y67) has been updated to Flinders Island language and Aba Yalgayi people.

The code Y61 in AUSTLANG was Flinders Island language (now listed as retired) and the Thesaurus authority for (Y61) was Walmbaria/Gambilmugu.

Tindale and Hale (1933:69) wrote that Walmbaria people lived on Flinders Island and Bathurst Head and spoke Yalgawarra language. Yalgawarra is not a language, it refers to another clan affiliated with Flinders Island language (Y67) (Sutton, 1993:33).
