Oates (1988:6) lists Nuntukuri as one of five Muruwari D32 groups, the others being Kungkakuri D49, Kuntakuri D53, Thinuntu D52 and Purukuri D51. It is not clear whether these are also names of distinct language varieties. Radcliffe-Brown (1923:434) mentions Ŋandugari (D50) and Kaŋkargari D49 as being local divisions of the Murawari D32 group which probably spoke different dialects of Murawari. Documentation on Muruwari D32 is relevant.
