The data for Yunggor (N26) are scarce. Tyron says that Yunggor is a dialect of Matngala N12, being structurally similar to and sharing 80% common cognates with Matngala and 72% with Kamor N33 (1974:56), but he also describes Yunggor as a dialect of the Daly sub-group, along with Matngala and Kamor (1974:290).
Based on Tryon's description of Yunggor as a dialect of Matngala and/or of his Daly subgroup, in this database it is classified as a language variety closely related to Matngala N12 and to Kamu N33 thus a member of the non-Pama Nyungan Eastern Daly language family.
... area between Hermit Hill and the Daly River (Stanner 1933 as quoted by Tryon 1974). Areas of swampland west of Hermit Hill and south of the Daly River (Tindale 1974).
