See also Y182, previously treated as distinct. Tindale (1974) says that Winduwinda is a cover term for twelve or more small groups each with a name terminating in '-ngit'. This suggests that Adyingid might be a Winduwinda group name, despite Tindale not listing it. McConnel (1935-36: 455) corroborates this observation, including Andjingith ('and#228;ndyand#237;?it') among them: 'The coastal tribes immediately north of the Archer River and between it and the Embley are distinguished by the suffix '?it' (and#228;ndyand#237;?it, Leand#237;ni?and#237;ti, and#228;rand#237;ti?and#237;ti, Ndrand#225;'a?and#237;t etc.).' There is a recording by Sutton (Sutton_P24) and some information in Sutton (1978) on this language.
