Comments:

Ngan'gikurunggurr is a dialect of Ngan'gityemerri N157 (Reid (1990). Documentation for Ngan'gi N157 may be relevant.

Ngan'gikurunggurr is spoken by about 150 people in the region around the Daly River, most of them living in the communities of Nauiyu (previously Daly River Mission), Peppimenarti, Wudigapildhiyerr, and smaller outstations. Ngan'gikurunggurr has two sister dialects, Ngen'giwumirri N17 (about 30 speakers) and Ngan'gimerri N160 (no longer spoken).

Green and Nordlinger classify Ngan'gikurunggurr as a Southern Daly language closely related to Ngen'giwumirri  and Ngan'gimerri N160, with more distant ties to Murrinhpatha N3 and Murrinh Kura N158 (viewed November 2020).
