[Area also known as Kaltjiti situated on the APY Lands. This house was built in 1934 by Harold Brown who was a known as a dogger, a person who traded in and collected dingo pelts. In 1939 the Brown family were warned by the Kaltjiti people that their underground bedroom was at risk of caving in during a wet conditions, warning was ignored and the tragedy resulted. Punipuni, a Kaltjiti woman, ran from Shirley Well across a flooded plain of 30 miles to Ernabella to get help.
