The photographs in the Collection are divided into smaller collections according to the creator of the work. You can search for individual items within these collections using key words such as an individual’s name, a place or a topic (e.g. dugong; hunting; weapon making; camp scene); or the name of a collection you have found in the Mura catalogue.
Enter your search term in the free text box. Search for an exact phrase by wrapping your search term in quotation marks, for example “Wallaga Lake, N.S.W.” If you do not get any results, try a different spelling or a new term.
Faceted search
Once you have made a search, facets will appear to the left under the headings Creator,
Place and Access
rights. The number of matching records is shown in the brackets next to each facet. You
can further refine
your search using these.
