Comments:
Hercus (1962:7) says Yitayita D7 is 'the same' as Thati-thati (S28) and that both are totally different from the surrounding languages. Following a reference to 'Victorian languages: a late survey' (Hercus 1986), Oates and Oates (1970:142) say that Dadidadi (S28) 'belongs to the Jitajita D7 language'. This is presumably an interpretation of 'the same' in Hercus (1962), though Hercus (1986:101) writes of 'two languages', Yidayida D7 and Dadidadi (S28), and does not specify the relationship between them. Clark (1996) notes Hercus's (1978) suggestion that Dadidadi (S28) was identical to Narinari D9. See Nari Nari D9 record for details.
