[Hedley Herbert Finlayson 1895-1991 - Australian leader in mammalogy - working with Aboriginal people. Finalyson was able to find small to medium sized ground dwelling desert mammals and document them during the 1930s. On his return during the 1950s a large majority of these mammals had either declined or dissapeared completely.
