Yan-nha?u (N72) is a Yol?u clan affiliated with Nha?u N211 language and Dhuwa moiety (Schebeck, 2001:16 and Bowern and James, 2010:361). It is a cover term for Garmala?ga N100; Gurryindi N212; Walama?u N79 / Gamal; Mälarra N119; Bindararr N213 and Ngurruwulu N216 (Bowern and James, 2010:363). ... from the Crocodile Islands in the west to the Wessel Island in the east... Many Yan-nha?u people now live at the ex-mission settlements on their homelands at Milingimbi and Galiwin'ku, although some also live at Maningrida (the next community to the west) and surrounding outstations.... There is also a Yan-nha?u outstation settlement on the largest of the outer Crocodile Islands of Murru?ga, some 50 kilometres from the northern Australian coast (Bowern & James,2010: 361-362).
