Comments:
Oates and Oates (1970:159) say Wurm has fairly full recordings and Baddala is possibly part of Dungidjau E20. Wurm (1972), however, does not include Baddala in his classification, nor is it found in the description of Duungidjawu E20 by Kite and Wurm (2004). This suggests that Baddala is not a language name. A word list in the AIATSIS collection contains data for a language referred to as 'Badtala' (Winterbotham 1955, pMS 3886). A brief comparison with Butchulla E30 data indicates that many words (but not all) are the same. Given the uncertainty of its identity, Baddala is described as Unconfirmed.
